run the sketch
—view the code

How do you use it?
Mouse position has some kind of effect on the paths of the lines. It seems to be.

What is it?
Neural Networks code by st33d
I found this code in a post on the Processing discourse boards. It sounded fascinating and I thought I could get in there and figure it out, but it really kicked me around.

These two were made by dropping the stroke() alpha to 3 and letting it run for a couple of hours.

run the sketch—view the code

How do you use it?
At this point, you just watch it.

What is it?
A timer. The same as Monday, but now the vertical motion is scaled to take 5 seconds, and I added a horizontal element that travels once per second. See the comments in the code for more details.

How do you use it?
At this point, you just watch it.

What is it?
A timer. The horizontal line scans down the window based on how many milliseconds the sketch has been running.

Why is it cool?

Complement.step3
run the sketch—view the code—download

How do you use it?
Move the mouse up and down to change the Hue.
UP and DOWN arrows change the Brightness.
LEFT and RIGHT arrows change the Saturation.
TAB toggles the wheel on and off.

What is it?
My third step in developing a Complementary Color tool. Built on Complement.step2 and Complement.step1.

Why is it cool?
More controls. Mixes the complementary colors showing their neutral product. Includes a cool rounding function for displaying floats with a specified number of decimal places.

Complement.step2
run the sketch—view the code—download

How do you use it?
Move the mouse up and down from the top to the bottom if the sketch window.

What is it?
My second step in the Complementary Color tool.

Why is it cool?
It calculates the complement of the current color (which is itself figured from mouseY).
